My Weekly Veggie Box & Why It’s Special. #MommyMonday

Tonight I picked up our weekly fruit and vegetable box from Terra Organics. Each week I drop in to Proctor Frozen Yogurt to pick up my box, and sometimes some froyo too. It's for the kids. 😉

If you've been reading my blog for any period of time, you KNOW that I love supporting local business. I got to support TWO local businesses tonight with my fruit and veggie pickup. It's special because I get delicious and healthy produce with every box. It's special because I get to talk to my boys about the fruits and vegetables that are in our box, where they come from and why organic food is important.

My son, Dylan, carried our box out for me because I was holding the littlest one (and taking pics!). I feel like it is really special that Dylan helps me carry out the box because he feels like he is helping our family eat. It is his contribution. And he is helping me, which teaches him respect and love and gives him a gratifying feeling.

How fun is that box? Terra Organics asks that I break it down and return it each week. Which reduces waste and uses minimal packaging. So smart.

Apples, asparagus, potatoes, carrots, zucchini, tangerines, kale, strawberries and MORE! Look at everything in my box! It's like getting a present every week.

Look at the photo of me below, do you know what I'm holding? It's called 'Romanesco Caulfilower.' I wasn't sure what it was when I saw it, but I'm excited to try it. I'll let you know how it is, I think I'll roast it tomorrow night for dinner with asparagus.

If you want to try Terra Organics, mention you heard about it from me (Rosie Martinson!) and you will get 10% off your first order! You will love it. It will help your family eat more plant food and enjoy a wider variety.

I want to know how you teach your children about healthy food. Comment below and tell me what you do. We need community to help us raise healthy families.
