Do you ever wonder how that Working Mom keeps it all together while raising kids, advancing her career and sustaining a strong marriage? Me too.
I get this a lot. “Rosie, how do you do it? With your job, kids activities, husband, blog, volunteering!” And do you know what I say? I don’t. I DON’T DO IT ALL. I may do a lot, but I don’t do it all. And I don’t have it all together. I don’t have IT all, but I have MY all.
I know that I have it all when my heart is full. Having it all isn’t material items. It’s a spiritual, mental and physical happiness. When my children receive intentional attention and my husband feels loved and respected. That is MY all. I think the secret to having it all is having YOUR ALL. What is important to you? Not the other Moms at school or women at work. Not even the other women at church. When we focus in what is important to us, we truly live. Comparison is the thief of joy and nothing else can shrink our soul faster. We need to focus in what makes our family thrive. What is YOUR ALL?
The second secret to having it all is not being a perfectionist. I struggle with this big time in some ways, like body image. Not so much in other ways, like laundry. 😉 it is important to remember that Photoshop happens every single day, just not in our lives.
I want you to reflect on what having it all means to you. And how do you feel when you focus on YOUR ALL?
Tell me in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you.
