I never go shopping on Black Friday, I usually stay home, eat leftovers and DECORATE! It’s officially time to decorate for Christmas. My husband does the decorating. He loves it. He brought in all of our Christmas bins while listening to holiday tunes and setting out the lights, candles and knick knacks. I just sip my London Fog on the leather sofa and direct the festivities. 😉
Late this afternoon, I began to get in the holiday spirit, pair that with a little cabin fever…I hadn’t left the house since the day BEFORE Thanksgiving. So, needless to say, I was ready to go somewhere. Anywhere. So, we bundled up the kids (it snowed an inch this morning!) and got in our SUV to head for The Goodwill Pop-Up Christmas Shoppe! I knew it was a great place to buy holiday decor because last year I went there to buy what I needed for my ugly christmas sweater party at work and saw so many cute items. Check out what I found this year:
(the only thing I forgot to put on the table is a roll of wrapping paper I got for just 50 cents!)
I bought everything on this table for $17.58, with the exception of the dish towels, the window clings and green stocking which only added $8.50 more. I bought those items at the North Tacoma Goodwill, which by the way, I have to say they have a pretty nice variety of brand new tablecloths, serving trays, cookie cutters and other holiday-themed items at the regular store. I highly encourage you to visit your local Goodwill or another thrift shop and see what you can find. It’s always inspiring for me because I love to see what I can salvage and put together. Visit the Pop-Up Christmas Shoppe near you and let me know what you discover, I’d love to hear about your finds!
